Tina´s Birdwatcher´s Paradise Lodge är det rätta valet för alla er naturälskare som inte vill mötas av en stressig, högdecibel-turism. Att titta på fåglar och andra djur kan ni lätt göra från den soliga terassen på ”lodgen” i Monteverde-området i Costa Rica. Det enda som hörs är naturens egna läten!
Det vackra och lantliga läget på detta tidigare kaffeplantage gör ”Finca Cielo Verde” till en avskild grön oas där man kan studera naturen och alla dess innevånare på nära håll. Omgiven av bananträd och kaffebuskar, blommor, örter och stora träd kan du gå längs en av våra ”spår”  för att titta på Tucans,Trogons, Quetzals, Three-Wattled Bellbirds, Motmots, Manakins, Parrots, Hummingbirds, Hawks, Woodpeckers, Butterflies och andra bevingade skönheter – med lite tur! Alla kanske inte visar sig på samma dag, men vi har också sett racoons, opussums, agoutis, foxes, bats och andra skygga varelser som brukar komma till huset om kvällarna.
Finca Cielo Verde ligger på en sluttning med gamla kaffeplantage och skog runt omkring. Fåglar och djur stannar här uppe i bergen, utsikten är fantastisk med kullar och en vik av Stilla Havet nedanför. Med ett läge bara 7 minuter med bil och ca 20 minuters promenad från Santa Helena centrum kan du/ni lätt ta er till andra attraktioner i Monteverde, många turer kommer också och hämtar upp er vid fincans ingång.
Den 36 kvadratmeter stora ”stugan” är alldeles ny. Den är byggt med en artistisk, rustik känsla. Det finns ett fullt utrustat kök och en underbar, varm dusch, separat toalett och ett separat handfat. I det stora sovrummet får det plats två dubbelsängar och en enkelsäng. Som en extra lyx kan du göra upp din egen brasa och sitta och mysa framför under kyligare kvällar.

Genom sitt läge är Tina´s Birdwatcher´s Paradise skyddat från blåsten och de dammiga vägarna här i Monteverde. På grund av det är det varmt här och vägdammet är inget problem, på den stora terassen kan ni också sola när tillfälle ges.
Fincan producerar fortfarande sitt eget organiska kaffe som ni kan njuta av om morgnarna. Eller plocka lite pepparmynta och gör ditt eget pepparmyntste!
Vi försöker plantera mer träd och återställa fincan som den såg ut för 20 år sedan. Med hjälp av Monteverde Institute som ger oss träd, hjälper vi hotade arter att överleva.

Tina, en av fincans ägare, kan hjälpa till med information och arrangemang kring turer och saker-att-göra. Med henne kan ni tala tyska, engelska eller spanska.

Än kan ni inte hitta Birdwatcher`s Paradise i några guideböcker för det är alldeles nytt. Det är skapat av Tina, ägare till Tina´s Casitas som fått många lovord och positiv bedömning i  ”Lonely Planet”, ”Let´s Go”, ”Reise Know How” och andra resehandböcker om Costa Rica. Tina och hennes dotter Laura flyttade ut till Finca Cielo Verde för att kunna njuta av den vackra naturen. Santa Helena hade blivit för stort!

Gratis hämtning vid Santa Helenas busstation kan ordnas.

Vägbeskrivning: Från busstationen i Santa Helena åker/går ni mot begravningsplatsen och förbi den. Följ den vägen tills den tar slut då ni svänger till höger. Efter ca 1 km åker/går ni över en bro, ta första till höger i backen och ni kommer in på den väg som leder till ”lodgen”. Efter ca 300 m är ni framme.

We are Freddy and Tina of Cabinas Tina’s Casitas in Santa Elena in Monteverde, Costa Rica.

Cabinas Tina's Casitas is a peaceful budget place just a five minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Santa Elena center in the area of Monteverde.
Meet other travelers at our patio and enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean and of the Monteverde Reserve from the garden.
In the clean wooden rooms you find rustic artistic furniture of Tina's design. You can use a shared kitchenette, and there is hot water in the bathrooms.
Right beside there is a restaurant, a grocery store, laundry service and a public telephone, as well as Internet access.
Tina’s Casitas is built and maintained with the environment in mind (which is unluckily not the rule here yet).

We rent 4 houses with 9 rooms all in all.

The prices (incl. Tax, without breakfast) are:

• In a house with 4 wooden dbl. rooms with shared bath:

          Sgl. room $10, dbl. room $14

• Rooms on a  floor with 2 dbl. rooms, shared bath:

          Sgl. room $15, dbl. room $18

• In a house with 2 wooden rooms, each with a private bath:

          Sgl. room $25, dbl. room $25, trpl. room $30

• A house, 1 room for 4 people with private bath:

         $40.

Cabinas Tina's Casitas is highly recommended in the ''Lonely Planet'' guide books for years, as well as in the ''Reise Know How'', ''Rough Guide'', ''The New Key to Costa Rica'' and ''Polyglott''. Everything was great! Tina's (Casitas) was everything it claimed to be. It could be a little closer to the town but is walking distance to almost everything. I would stay there again.

The (owners) were very nice and their 3 yr old daughter was just too cute and very sociable. The couple reserved all of our tours and were very eager to make recommendations.... The place was EXTREMELY clean and all furniture was made out of tree branches... it was incredible. You def need to go on the Selvatura Canopy Tour... they pick you up right in front of your bungalow….

Freddy… is a very nice guy and super helpful and is able to hook you up with zipline tours and he knows a great lookout point where you can see the volcano. 2 min walk from town
